Attenborough Nature Reserve

The complex of flooded islands and gravel pits that make up Attenbobough Nature Reserve covers 145 hectares. This has created an ideal habitat for plants, birds and other wildlife and resulted in the site being declared a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).

The Big Track

The Big Track is a ten mile, car free, waterside route that runs between Beeston Marina and Trent Bridge along the River Trent and canal.

Erewash Valley Trail

How about a walk (or cycle) around the beautiful Erewash Valley Trail. The Trail takes in over 30 miles of beautiful waterway and countryside landscape on the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire borders.
