Something for everyone – beginners, improvers and commuters
There’s no need to be worried about getting back on your bike or trying something new with our free cycle training courses for all ages.
Whether it’s the roads that put you off or not knowing how to cycle, we’ve got qualified instructors on hand who can help you learn new skills or make you feel more confident. Anybody who rides a bike can benefit from a little training. It may be easy to ride a bike, but to ride one safely, efficiently and responsibly requires a bit more skill.
You can choose to learn one-to-one with an Instructor so you will have the time and personal support to learn. Or if you’d prefer, you can learn in a group or with a friend, with a partner or family member.
Our instructors will come to you through the daytime, in the evening or at weekends; just choose what suits you best. Best of all, the sessions are free and if you need a bike we can hire you one for free.
Our instructors can help improve your skills while you learn to control your bike with sessions starting in a traffic free space.
There’s no problem with being a novice rider as our instructors can help improve your skills while you learn to control your bike with sessions starting in a traffic free space. Only when you’re ready will you move onto the road and tackling junctions. They’ll also be able to offer advice on route planning, being confident on the road and bike maintenance tips. Before you know it you’ll be breezing through the jams on your way to work.
