Half-price Kangaroo card for jobseekers
Job Seeker Allowance claimants in Nottingham City already can apply for a Half-price Kangaroo card which allows travel on all buses, trams and trains (and Citycard Bicycle Hire) within the Kangaroo zone boundaries. The card enables day tickets to be purchased for £2.25 instead of the standard price of £4.50.
The scheme has now been extended to JSA claimants in Broxtowe Borough until 31st March 2015. Please ask your advisor at Beeston Jobcentre Plus for an application form. Once completed and stamped by a Jobcentre Plus advisor, simply take the form to Broad Marsh or Victoria Travel Centres to receive your half-price Kangaroo card.
